Horrible static August 18, 2010 Olive's mom I had a Sound N Lights monitor with my first child six years ago and it was great, except when I tried to get it to work with this baby. I was not upset about the old one not working because we definitely got our money's worth from it. I decided since I liked the first one so much that I would purchase the updated version. It is HORRIBLE!!!! There is constant static and the lights are all lit up when the baby is silent. I valued those lights the last time because I kept the monitor turned down so I didn't hear every noise, but could see if the baby was crying. Don't waste your money! I did not keep the box for this one because I trusted that it was going to be a good product. Now I am stuck with it and will have to spend more money to purchase a different monitor.
Don't buy this!! August 7, 2010 cathy We had received the older version of this monitor 3 years ago and liked it very much. When we became pregnant again I decided we would get another one. Well they changed the design, which I thought could only make it better, and now it's awful! I'm upset that I did not keep the box and gift receipt bc Target won't take it back and I really don't have $$ to spend on another one. SERIOUSLY this one is useless though.
blah June 27, 2010 jaxie not good. The batterry on one never worked. The battery on the other one worked for about 2 mos. Lots of static. Just seem to be very cheap.
This monitor sucks June 9, 2010 JPB (Venezuela) This monitor sucks. I have used it for 3 weeks and its already driving me crazy. Dont waste your money. The interference is awfull.

GARBAGE, and I'll tell you why... June 2, 2010 Jack Black (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
THE GOOD: base monitor has a night light that my kids like to play with. It comes with two receivers. The cord for the base is pretty long.
THE BAD: Always has a low level of static. Can only hear my kids when they scream loud. When they talk at a normal volume the monitor doesn't pick it up well.
When we turn up the volume on the receiver (so we can hear the kids) we can also hear local AM radio (bad).
BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT BUY.
We loved the first version of the Fisher-Price monitor which is no longer sold anymore. With the old monitor, we could hear the kids whisper and ever hear them breathing with minimal static.
This new monitor is terrible.
I can only hear the kids if they scream.
Anytime a truck or motorcycle drives down the street, the monitors pick up on the vibrations and amplify them so you get a loud static rumble.
I wish I had done more research on Amazon before I bought these.
