We recieved this and the scoop was off of the truck. I figured it needed to be put into place for assembly. But everytime we would lift the arm of the truck the scoop fell off making it basically unusable. Not sure if it was designed this way or ours was particularly bad but not willing to try another one cause the design just did not seem great to me. We returned it. My poor son was dissapointed as he had picked it out for his birthday present.

I love Plan Toys because they leave room for my son to use his imagination. So many other toys come with sounds and lights and recorded voices that take away the child's opportunity to imagine. This one is simple, classic, and so durable - it looks brand new after several months of daily use in the house and the yard. The scoop section does detach easily, but this is designed intentionally so that it does not break if it falls. When it detaches, you just pop it back in its place - at first we had to do this for my son, but now that he is almost 3 he can do it himself. He uses this several times every day, and makes up stories about what his little worker man is scooping for the day. I would definitely recommend this!
